Painting with Dyan Law In Brittany, France

June 24 to July 3, 2005

Bucks County artist, Dyan Law will travel with you to the spectacular medieval village of Josselin. Lodging is at the Hotel du Chateau/Restaurant, situated just across the Oust River from the 1000 year old Château des Rohan. You will experience the charm and intimacy of Brittany while exploring and painting in some magnificent villages. Take one full day in Pont Aven, where Gauguin had his informal school of followers; paint in the quaint medieval village of Rochefort-en-Terre, one of the official Petites Cités de Caractère, and in the port walled city of Vannes with its spectacular outdoor market and remarkable museum. Also, paint in the village of Malestroit, home of the inspirational Museum of the Resistance.

You will come to understand how Brittany has always distinguished itself as a country apart from the rest of France. The American-Breton connection is undeniably strong—dating back to the Allied liberation in the Second World War—and existing today with equal passion.

$2175 double occupancy, ($2375 single) includes lodging in Josselin, instruction, transportation to painting locations and breakfasts.
